Moreland grand in two more wins

Ali Moreland earned the female athlete of the week honors after helping the women's basketball team to two more victories last week and an individual milestone.

Moreland averaged 17.5 points per game in a 2-0 week, leading the Green Terror to its 15th and 16th consecutive victories.

With her second basket in Wednesday's win over Dickinson - an 18-foot jumper with 16:26 to play in the first half - Moreland joined the 1,000-point club as the squad's 14th member. She finished the night with 1,017 points for her career after pouring in her seventh 20-point outing.

In addition to the 35 points, she shot 50 percent and added 11 rebounds and seven assists.

For the season, she is leading the team at 14.2 points per game to go with 60 assists and 51 steals.
