WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gettysburg broke open a 2-all game with a four-run seventh inning to top McDaniel 14-6 in Centennial Conference (CC) baseball action on Friday.

Kasey Nelson (St. Pete Beach, Fla./St. Michael's [Md.]) recorded a 3-for-4 day to lead the Green Terror (13-20, 5-11 CC), who outhit their visitors 12-10 on the day.

Connor Tom led the Bullets (22-13-2, 10-6 CC) with a seventh-inning grand slam for his only hit, breaking a 2-all deadlock.

Tyler Mitchell led off the seventh with a single up the middle before being erased on a sacrifice bunt attempt in which the defense went for the lead runner.

After a Chuck Probst single and another fielder's choice put runners at the corners with two outs, a passed ball put both runners in scoring position.

McDaniel elected to complete an intentional walk on Will Anderson to load the bases and Tom sent a 1-0 pitch to straightaway center field for a grand slam and 6-2 lead.

Three walks with two outs in the eighth helped key a seven-run frame. Dominick Gasparro laced an 0-1 pitch over the fence in left field for a three-run home run to cap the inning.

The Bullets tacked on an unearned run in the ninth on an Anderson sacrifice fly for a 14-2 lead.

With one out in the bottom of the inning, Tyler O'Shea (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) singled to left before Keegan Romanoff (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) drew a pinch-hit walk.

Zack Glover (Stewartstown, Pa./Calvert Hall) knocked a pinch-hit single over the third-base bag to score pinch-runner Griffin Mahon (Rockville, Md./St. John's College Prep).

Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) was hit by a two-out pitch to load the bases for Tom Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights), who singled home two runs.

Michael Gallagher (Coatesville, Pa./Dowingtown West) drew a bases-loaded walk to set the final margin.

A pair of third-inning walks and a Logan Sneed double down the line coupled with a two-out fielding error staked Gettysburg to a 2-0 lead.

Back-to-back doubles by Nelson and Eric Grantland (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the fourth.

Antonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) tripled to lead off the sixth before scoring on a Will Strauss (Freeport, N.Y./Waldorf) shallow sacrifice fly.

McDaniel concludes the season at Swarthmore on Saturday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 12:30 p.m.
