Year In Review: Two for the Win

This is the third in our eight-part Summer Year-In-Review Series. Each Monday, we will recap one of the top stories from the 2013-14 year. In Part Three, we move into November and the catch heard around the world. It was the final of four highlight-worthy videos we featured during the fall.

Nick O'Melia caught his third touchdown catch with 17 seconds left. At that point, McDaniel trailed 42-41 and a simple extra-point would tie the game and send the team to almost a sure overtime at Susquehanna on Nov. 9.

Instead, second-year head coach Mike Hoyt opted to leave his offense on the field and go for the win. The offense stepped to the ball and the Crusaders called a timeout to ensure their defense was set. Out of the timeout, quarterback Seth McFall took the snap, faded left and looked to freshman Britton Hastings. As the junior rifled the ball, it was tipped up. Hastings adjusted back into the field of play, caught the tipped pass and spun to his right and into the end zone for a 43-42 advantage.

Relive the video well as the other three top video plays from the fall.
