Lapkowicz joined the Green Terror as an assistant last season after four years as a player in the program.
After four years as a signal caller in the program, Lapkowicz made the shift to a primary responsibility with the running backs before moving this year to work with the tight ends and help Bartolain mentor the quarterbacks.
As a quarterback in the program, Lapkowicz opened his junior campaign as the starter in 2008, where he saw his most action under center. He completed 16 of 26 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, he went 22-for-36 for 267 yards.
As the holder on placekicks in 2009, he turned a bad snap into a game-winning touchdown against Catholic for the lone rushing score of his career. He also had four tackles on special teams last season.
Lapkowicz graduated with a degree in business administration.
