Vinson enters his third season on the Green Terrorstaff, working with the running backs – a position he knowswell.
A 1993 graduate of Towson, Vinson was drafted by theSan Diego Chargers in 1994 and remained a part of the practicesquad all season. Vinson played parts of the 1997 and 1999 seasonswith the Baltimore Ravens, participating in 16 games total onspecial teams before his career was shortened by injuries.
While at Towson, he set a then-NCAA Division IAArecord with 2,016 yards during his senior season of 1993. In hisfinal home game on Nov. 13, the All-American sprinted 80 yards fora touchdown on his final carry to finish with a record-setting 364yards. He had 691 yards rushing over his final two games thatseason. His 3,058 career rushing yards still ranks second in Tigerhistory.
Vinson, a Manchester resident, is now in graduateschool at McDaniel with the goal of becoming a teacher andcoach.
