Two named to All-CC team
LANCASTER, Pa. – Two members of the McDaniel field hockey team have been named to the 2008 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Tuesday.
Senior Brooke Dixon (Clayton, Del./Smyrna) was
named to the first team while senior Kristin Mele (Ellicott
City, Md./River Hill) earned an honorable mention nod.
Dixon, a midfielder, earned her third all-conference after being
named second team in 2006 and 2007. She ranked third on the team in
goals (5), assists (2) and points (12). She also had a defensive
save. Dixon finished her career fourth all-time in assists (16) and
18th all-time in goals scored (15).
Mele, a forward, garnered her first All-CC nod after pacing the
team with 12 goals and 24 points. The 12 goals was tied for ninth
in the conference while the point total was
15th.
McDaniel finished the season with a record of 8-10 (5-5
CC).
