Reynolds scores in first half

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Ursinus scored twice in the game's first 15 minutes en route to a 4-2 Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey victory over McDaniel on Saturday.

Sara Reynolds (York, Pa./Central York) scored in the first half for the Green Terror (4-4, 1-2 CC), breaking up the shutout in the 22nd minute.

Stephanie Cooper scored the first two goals of the game for the Bears (5-2, 3-1 CC), who finished the game with advantages of 18-11 in shots and 17-7 in penalty corners.

Cooper finished off a Jordan Miller feed just 9:41 into the contest before the pair hooked up again five minutes later to double the advantage.

Danielle DeColli (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) found Reynolds to draw the hosts within one at the 21:36 mark but Devin Brakel reestablished the two-goal advantage at the break, scoring in the 28th minute.

Megan Keenan stretched the lead to 3-1 at the 52:03 mark before Julie Little (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) converted on a breakaway nearly five minutes later to set the final margin.

Bayley Vohs (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood) had two defensive saves for McDaniel while Natalie Price (Elkton, Md./Elkton) added one.

The Green Terror returns to action at Dickinson on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
