Two earn second-team All-CC nod
LANCASTER, Pa. – Two members of the McDaniel men’s basketball have been named to the 2009 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Tuesday.
Josh McKay (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech), a senior
forward and Miguel Jones (Baltimore, Md./North
County), a junior guard, both earned second-team honors.
It was the first appearance on the all-conference team for both
players.
McKay leads the team in scoring (10.6 ppg) while ranking second in
rebounding (6.4 rpg). He added 20 assists, 20 blocked shots and 13
steals.
Jones was second on the team in scoring (9.4 ppg) while ranking
third in both assists (43) and steals (28). He canned a team-best
28 triples while shooting 42.2 percent from the floor and 69.1
percent from the free-throw line.
Kevin Curley was named the conference’s
inaugural Coach of the Year. In his second year at the helm, Curley
has guided the team to a program-record 18 wins and into the CC
postseason for the second consecutive season.
The second-seeded Green Terror (18-7, 13-5 CC) plays No. 3
Gettysburg in Saturday’s first semifinal at Franklin &
Marshall. Game time is 1 p.m.
