Twenty-one McDaniel College student-athletes have been named to the 2013-14 Centennial Conference (CC) Winter Academic Honor Roll, announced recently.

Stewart tallies 15 in ECAC semifinal
Tim Stewart recorded 15 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead the Green Terror, whose season finished with a program record-tying 18 wins. Neumann went on a 16-4 run midway through the second half to open up a double-digit lead, defeating McDaniel, 73-65.

Three earn All-CC men’s basketball honors
Three members of the McDaniel men’s basketball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Wesley Brooks, Andrew Merlo and Phillip Perry were tabbed honorable mention. Kevin Curley was also named Coach of the Year.

McDaniel will travel to Stevenson for the 2014 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southeast men’s basketball tournament on Saturday. Game time is yet to be determined.

Tim Stewart scored 16 points to lead the Green Terror. Dickinson held McDaniel without a point for the final 6:18 of the first half, building a 25-point lead en route to a 77-63 in the 2014 Centennial Conference semifinals.

Pupelis tallies 12 and nine to lead way into semis
Evan Pupelis led McDaniel with 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists while Nick Pergugino added 12 points, canning four 3-pointers. McDaniel held on for a 57-52 victory over Muhlenberg in the first round of the Centennial Conference tournament.

Andrew Merlo led the Green Terror with nine points while Phillip Perry added eight. Gettysburg held McDaniel without a field goal for the game’s final 8:12 to notch a 55-47 victory.

Tim Stewart paced the Green Terror into solo possession of second place in the CC standings with 15 points. McDaniel held Washington (Md.) without a point for the first 6:55 of the game en route to allowing a season-low 42 points and a 74-42 victory.

Wesley Brooks matched his career high with 18 points to lead the Green Terror. Muhlenberg reeled off 11 straight points to turn a 44-all deadlock into a 55-44 lead with 9:04 to play en route to a 68-54 victory over McDaniel.

Phillip Perry recorded 14 points and six rebounds to lead the Green Terror. McDaniel put together a 21-4 run in the second half to turn a six-point deficit into an 11-point advantage, defeating Johns Hopkins, 61-57.

Freshman Nick Perugino went 5-for-6 from long range to lead the Green Terror to its sixth straight victory with 15 points. McDaniel built a 18-point lead in the second half before staving off an Ursinus rally for a 78-69 victory.

Andrew Merlo exploded for a career high-tying 27 points to lead the Green Terror, including matching his career best with six 3-pointers. A late surge lifted McDaniel to a 79-73 victory over Lebanon Valley.
