WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel will travel to Stevenson for the 2014 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southeast men's basketball tournament on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
The Green Terror (18-9) earned the No. 3 seed and will take on the second-seeded Knights (19-9) in one of two semifinals of the five-team tournament. McDaniel is making its second straight ECAC appearance.
The host Mustangs (19-8) will take on the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between No. 4 Marymount (15-11) and No. 5 Penn State-Abington (14-12) in Saturday's other semifinal, slated to begin at 1 p.m.
The championship game will take place between the two semifinal winners on Sunday at Stevenson at 1 p.m.
McDaniel earns the postseason berth after reaching the Centennial Conference semifinals.
Phillip Perry (Crownsville, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) leads the team in scoring (9.0 ppg). He is also second on the team in both assists (47) and steals (24).
Wesley Brooks (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) is second on the team in scoring (8.3 ppg) and rebounding (4.6 rpg) and leads the way with 54 assists, 41 steals and 43 3-pointers.
Evan Pupelis (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) leads the team in rebounding, averaging 5.8 rebounds per game.
