LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the McDaniel men's basketball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Wednesday.
Seventh-year head coach Kevin Curley was also named the conference's Coach of the Year. It is the second time he has earned the honor after also garnering the accolade in 2009.
Brooks, a sophomore guard, ranks second on the team in scoring at 8.3 points per game, including hitting a team-best 43 3-pointers. He also leads the team in assists (54) and steals (41) while ranking second in rebounding (4.6 rpg).
Merlo, a junior guard, is third on the team in scoring at 8.2 points per game. He is second on the squad with 22 3-pointers and leads the team at the free-throw line (66-for-91). He is second on the team with 48 assists.
Perry, a junior guard, leads the team in scoring at 9.0 points per game. He ranks second on the team in assists (24) and third in assists (47).
Curley has guided the team to a program record-tying 18 wins this season and into the ECAC tournament for the second straight year. He led the team into the CC playoffs, winning the program's first postseason game in 53 years with a 57-52 win over Muhlenberg in the first round last Wednesday.
The Green Terror (18-9, 12-6 CC) returns to action against Neumann in the semifinals of the ECAC Southeaast Tournament at Stevenson on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
