GLEN ALLEN, Va. – KJ Mazurek (Rumson, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) fired a team-low score of 151 over the two rounds to lead McDaniel to a sixth-place finish at the Ted Keller Invitational at Hunting Hawk Golf Club in season-opening men’s golf action on Saturday and Sunday.
The Green Terror combined to fire a two-round total of 623,
shooting a 312 on Saturday and a 311 on Sunday. Bridgewater won the
12-team event with a combined score of 596, posting a 292 in the
opening round.
Mazurek shot a team-low 75 on Saturday before carding a 76 on
Sunday to finish in a tie for 11th place
overall.
Paul Kovalcheck (Fairless Hills, Pa./Truman)
followed up his opening-round 80 with a second-round score of 75 to
finish with a 155 in a tie for 19th place.
Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville)
finished in a tie for 25th place overall with a score of
156, matching Kovalcheck’s 75 on Sunday after posting an 81
on Saturday.
Alex Campbell (Howell, N.J./Wall) followed up a
round of 76 on Saturday with a score of 85 on Sunday to finish with
a 161.
Taylor Massie (Southington, Conn./St. Paul
Catholic) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with a
two-day score of 171 (84-87).
The Green Terror returns to action at the Susquehanna Invitational
on Sept. 27.
