McDaniel finishes sixth at Gettysburg

Bowman cards 77 to lead Green Terror in first invite of spring

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) posted a 77 to lead McDaniel to a sixth-place finish at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational in men’s golf action on Tuesday.

The Green Terror combined for a score of 328. Wesley won the 15-team invitational with a 307, five shots clear of Susquehanna. Dickinson (318), Messiah (326) and Neumann (327) rounded out the top five teams.

Bowman’s score place him in tie for sixth place overall.

Paul Kovalcheck (Fairless Hills, Pa./Truman) was 16th overall with a round of 81 while Alex Campbell (Howell, N.J./Wall) carded an 84 to place 30th.

Jeff Smith (Elkridge, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) finished with a round of 86 while Chris Merrill (Kingsville, Md./Fallson) registered an 87.

Conor O’Maille (Frederick, Md./Gonzaga) fired a 92 as an individual.

McDaniel returns to action in its own invitational at the Bridges on Saturday and Sunday. Action begins at 8:30 a.m. both days.
