McDaniel B-team places eighth at Ursinus Invitational
ELVERSON, Pa. – Bryan Johnson (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) fired a round of 80 to finished tied for eighth and lead McDaniel to an eighth-place showing at the Ursinus Invitational at Stonewall in men's golf action on Tuesday.
Playing the same course on which the Centennial Conference (CC) championship will be held in 10 days, the Green Terror posted a round of 337 to match Immaculata for eighth place with the team's freshmen and sophomore vying to round out McDaniel's quintent at the 54-hole championship event.
York (Pa.) won the 12-team tournament with a round of 313 while Muhlenberg was the only other squad to break 320, firing a 314 in wet and breezy conditions.
The Green Terror returns to action on the same course with the CC title on the line on Saturday, Apr. 30 and Sunday, May 1. The teams will play 27 holes both days with the first tee times slated for 9 a.m. on Saturday.
