Bowman closes NCAA championship with round of 77

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) finished up his 72 holes at the 2011 NCAA Division III men's golf championship with a final-round 77 on the East Course of the Grandover Resort on Friday.

The junior, playing as an individual over the final 36 holes of the tournament, finished his four rounds in four days with a total of 301, recording the lowest individual 72-hole score of any Green Terror golfer and any Centennial Conference golfer at the NCAA championship.

Bowman's score finished him tied for 36th place overall of the 81 players who made the cut after a tournament that started with 205 golfers.

Centre's won the individual medallist with a four-day score of 274, 14 shots under par.

Greensboro captured the team crown by six strokes over Illinois Wesleyan with a score of 1,167.
