Lillie wins Glenmaura

MOOSIC, Pa. – James Lillie (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) posted a career-low 36-hole score of 146 to win the individual title at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational in men's golf action on Sunday and Monday.

The freshman posted an even-par 71 on Monday to key the Green Terror's second-round 300, vaulting the team from fourth place to second after a first-round 311. Scranton won the invitational with a 603 (297-306), edging McDaniel by eight strokes.

Lillie posted a 75 in the opening round to sit tied for sixth after 18 holes.

Kyle Chittim (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck), who matched Lillie with a 75 on Sunday, carded a 73 on Monday to finish tied for third with a two-day score of 148.

Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) posted a two-round score of 155 to finish tied for 19th. He shot a 75 in the second round after opening with an 80.

Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) shot matching rounds of 81 to finish with a score of 162 to finish 30th.

Logan Connaughton (Matawan, N.J./Matawan Regional) rounded out the Green Terror competitors with a score of 173 (90-83) to finish 41st.

Kevin Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) competed individually at the McDaniel Spring Shootout on Saturday at Westminster National, carding an 87 to place 29th.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Fred Kravitz Invitational at Oak Hill Country Club on Friday and Saturday.
