Hatton named South Senior All-Star

PERRY, N.Y. – Mike Hatton (Corning, N.Y./Corning East), a senior on the McDaniel College men’s lacrosse team, has been selected as a member of the South Team and will participate in the 2009 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North/South Senior All-Star Game.

            The annual contest will take place as part of championship weekend in Boston. The 33-man Division III South team will take on the North team as part of a tripleheader at Harvard Stadium on Friday. The Division III game will open the session at 2 p.m. followed by the Division I/II game at 4 p.m. and a Major League Lacrosse matchup between the Boston Cannons and Denver Outlaws at 7:30 p.m.
            Hatton, a midfielder, finished second on the Green Terror and third in the Centennial Conference (CC) this season with 32 goals. He added 11 assists for 43 points, a total which also ranked second on the team. He picked up 31 ground balls
            Hatton is one of just three CC seniors to earn the honor of playing in the prestigious event.
            Hatton was also tabbed as an honorable mention on the 2009 USILA All-America list.
