Wineke tallies fourth of season on McDaniel penalty kick but Gophers tally twice in each half
WESTMINSTER, Md. - Evan Rosse tallied twice in the game's final 3:35 to seal a 4-1 win for Goucher over McDaniel in non-conference men's soccer action on Tuesday.
The Gophers (3-1) tallied twice in the game's first 17:09 before Timothy Wineke (Reisterstown, Md./North Carroll) pulled the Green Terror (2-3) within one in the game 74th minute.
Elijah Lais dribbled down the left side and by a diving McDaniel goalkeeper before finding the back of the net at the 9:26 mark for a 1-0 lead.
Nearly eight minutes later, Andrew Bull sent a shot in from 20 yards out off the post on the top-left corner of the cage to double the advantage.
