Single goal enough for Muhlenberg
Mules topple McDaniel, tie for top spot in conference
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Cody Antonini tallied in the game's 51st minute to key a 1-0 victory by Muhlenberg over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Wednesday.
The Mules (9-3-1, 5-1 CC) finished with a 14-3 advantage in shots to match Swarthmore and Johns Hopkins at 5-1 in CC play with three conference games remaining.
The Green Terror (7-7, 3-3 CC), who got seven saves from Robert Hollasch (Marriottsville, Md./Libert), fall into a tie for sixth place - one-half game behind Dickinson.
Off a loose ball in front of the net, Josh Luginibuhl found Antonini for the game's lone goal at the 50:21 mark.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Swarthmore on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
