McCracken scores early

YORK, Pa. - No. 2 York scored twice in a 3-minute, 3-second span to overcome an early 1-0 deficit en route to a 3-1 victory over McDaniel on the first day of the Holiday Inn Conference Center Soccer Classic in men's soccer action on Saturday.

Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) scored his sixth goal of the season for the Green Terror (2-2) to stake the visitors to a 1-0 lead at the 6:31 mark.

Daniel Baxter knotted the game for the Spartans (3-0) just 1:02 later.

In the 14th minute, Taylor Brummitt made it a 2-1 lead off a rebound off a defender.

After a delay in the 70th minute, Antonio Bua set the final margin with 13:40 to play.

The Green Terror returns to action on the second day of the tournament, taking on the loser of the Susquehanna-William Paterson game on Sunday. Game time is 1:15 p.m.
