WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored a pair of first-half goals en route to a 3-1 victory over Hood in non-conference men's soccer action on Tuesday.
Richard Forka (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy) recorded his first goal of the season for the Green Terror (5-0), who improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1956.
Ian McDonald made nine saves for the Blazers (1-3), who snapped McDaniel's shutout streak at 344 minutes, 6 seconds.
Forka broke up the scoreless game just 13 minutes into the contest with an unassisted tally.
Jesse Caples (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) converted a penalty kick in the 75th minute for a 3-0 lead before Juliano Pillari broke up the Green Terror's lengthy shutout streak at the 80:29 mark.
Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) made three saves for McDaniel.
The Green Terror finished with a 19-10 advantage in shots and 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
McDaniel returns to action at Bridgewater on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
