BALTIMORE, Md. - Johns Hopkins tallied an early goal, which stood up for a 1-0 Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer victory over McDaniel on Wednesday.
Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) led the Green Terror (7-5-3, 1-4-2 CC) with five saves.
Rob Heuler scored the game's lone goal for the Blue Jays (7-6-2, 4-2-1 CC), who finished the game with a slim 11-10 advantage in shots.
In the 11th minute, Kotaro Mitsuhashi sent a free kick that Rob Heuler headed in for a 1-0 lead.
Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) finished with four shots, including one off a corner kick in the 19th minute that Mitsuhashi cleared off the line at the right post.
The Green Terror returns to action at Gettysburg on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
