LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the McDaniel men's soccer team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday.
Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) was named to the first team while Luis Calderon (Silver Spring, Md./Bullis) and Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) earned a spot on the second team. Richard Forka (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy) was tabbed honorable mention.
McCracken, a junior forward, moves up to the first team after being a second-team selection last year. IN 2013, he started all 17 games and led the conference with 0.65 goals per game and 1.47 points per game. He finished the season with 11 goals, three assists and 25 points to lead the team.
Calderon, a senior forward, started all 17 games. He ranked second on the team with five goals and 14 points. His four assists also ranked second on the squad.
Nibbelink, a senior goalkeeper, started all 17 games between the pipes and played nearly 1563 minutes of the team's 1590. He finished the season with a 0.86 goals-against average, which ranked fourth in the conference. He had a .795 save percentage.
Forka, a junior defender, started all 16 games in which he appeared. He added one goal to the offense, scoring in a 3-1 win against Hood on Sept. 10.
The Green Terror finished the season 7-7-3 overall (1-6-2 CC).
