Green Terror opens season with 133-70 setback
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Lance Liu was part of both relay victories to lead Swarthmore to a 133-70 victory over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) men's swimming opener for both teams on Saturday.
The Garnet (2-0, 1-0 CC) recorded seven first-place finishes, including the relays that bookended the meet.
Sam Bullard-Sisken, David Dulaney and Stan Le teamed with Liu for a victory in the 200 medley relay with a combined time of 1:45.20.
Liu also combined with Daniel Duncan, Tim Brevart and Roger Chin at the other end of the meet for a victory in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:31.30.
Nuckles touched first in both the 50 (23.04 seconds) and 100 (51.64) freestyles for two of McDaniel's four wins.
Patrick Rogers (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) touched first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.65 while Morgan DeHart (Salisbury, Md./Wiciomico) was victorious in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.68.
The Green Terror returns to action at Gettysburg on Wednesday. Meet time is 7 p.m.
