Red Devils win nine times in first action of 2011
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Andy Wade won three times, including a pair of individual events, to lead Dickinson to a 67-28 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's swimming action on Saturday.
The Red Devils (6-1, 2-0 CC) touched first in nine of the 11 events, including bookending the meet with wins in both relays.
Jason Adams, Jordan Reed, Cris Miranda and Tyler Derreth teamed for a victory in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:41.03 before Rogers won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:41.21.
Tristan White, who won twice on the day, started a six-win stretch for Dickinson with a victory in the 200 freestyle (1:52.64).
Wade notched his first of two individual victories in the 50 free (22.38) before later touching first in the 100 free (49.66).
Miranda added a second victory in the 100 butterfly (55.21) while Adams also touched first in the 100 backstroke (56.08) before completing a three-win day, anchoring the 200 free relay. Wade swam the leadoff leg of the quartet that combined for a time of 1:30.25.
Steinheimer won the 500 free in a time of 5:11.88.
The Green Terror returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Friday. Meet time is 6 p.m.
