WESTMINSTER, Md. – Hood won both relays and added eight second-place finishes to down McDaniel 50-45 in non-conference men's swimming action on Saturday.
Brad Brooks (Newark, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) won three times to lead the Green Terror (0-6), who finished first in all nine individual events.
Alex Bodine was the lone double winner for the Blazers (9-1), including tying Stevie Hoyt (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) to finish first in the 50 freestyle. Both competitors touched with identical times of 22.33 seconds.
For Hoyt, he moved into seventh place on the program's all-time list with the mark.
Hoyt also won the 100 butterfly with a personal-best time of 53.97 seconds, improving on his second-place all-time mark by 0.01 seconds.
Brooks set a new pool record in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:35.62. He also won the 500 free in a time of 4:51.66 and the 100 backstroke in a time of 55.07, improving on his second-place all-time mark by 0.35 seconds – 0.09 seconds shy of the program record.
Allen won the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.35, which ranks 10th all-time, and the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:00.89.
Rogers won the 100 free (50.54) and 200 free (1:50.44).
Trailing 45-43 entering the final relay, Michael Curry, Lucas Mestas-Nunez, Victor Muleki and Bodine combined to swim a time of 1:30.78 and win the race by 2.72 seconds.
The Green Terror returns to action at Salisbury on Sunday, Jan. 5. Meet time is 1 p.m.
