Catholic downs McDaniel

Cardinals down Green Terror, 9-0

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Bernardo Nogales and Jean Paul Roman teamed for an 8-0 win at second doubles as part of 2-0 afternoons in Catholic's 9-0 win over McDaniel in non-conference men's tennis action on Sunday.

Nogales added a 6-4, 6-0 win at first singles for the Cardinals (1-1) while Roman was victories 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, downing Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) 7-5, 7-3 in the highlight singles match of the day.

Kron was also part of the highlight doubles match, teaming with Matthew Langsdale (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) at No. 3 singles, where the pair feel to Kyle Kramer and Jason Quisberth, 9-7.

The Green Terror (0-1) returns to action at Goucher on Friday, Oct. 8. Match time is 3 p.m.
