WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel swept doubles play and took the five completed singles matches in straight sets to defeat Goucher 8-0 in non-conference men's tennis action on Thursday.

Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) paced the Green Terror (5-2) with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles to cap his 2-0 day.

Pat Murrin forced a tiebreaker for the Gophers (0-10) at fourth singles.

Kron teamed with Matthew Langsdale (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) to notch an 8-2 victory at second doubles before Langsdale also capped a 2-0 day with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) victory at No. 4 singles.

Steve French (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Chad Palman (Montgomery Village, Md./Gaithersburg) also added double-win outings after combining for an 8-5 win at No. 1 singles.

French won first singles, 7-5, 6-2 and Palman took fifth singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) teamed with Daniel Xinis (Owings, Md./Northern) for an 8-0 victory at third doubles. McFall added a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles.
