Kron wins at second singles

CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson swept doubles play en route to an 8-1 Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis victory over McDaniel on Tuesday.

Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) took the lone match for the Green Terror (5-3, 0-2 CC) with a 6-0, 7-5 victory at second singles.

Jon Brittin led the Red Devils (5-4, 2-1 CC) with a 2-0 day, dropping just two games.

Brittin teamed with David London for an 8-0 win at third doubles before taking fifth singles, 6-2, 6-0. London capped a 2-0 day with an 8-0 pro-set win at sixth singles.

Will Golinkin and Franco Mena started their 2-0 days with an 8-0 victory at first doubles. Golinkin won first singles, 6-3, 6-1. Mena was victorious at No. 3 singles by identical 6-3 scores.

The Green Terror returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Match time is 2:30 p.m.
