McCarthy wins twice

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Kutztown won three of the four completed singles matches to take a 5-2 victory over McDaniel in a darkness-shortened non-conference men's tennis match on Wednesday.

Satchel McCarthy won both of his matches for the Green Terror (2-1), teaming with Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) for an 8-5 win at second doubles before taking an 8-6 win at third singles.

Rushi Amin and Rich Lichtenwainer led the Golden Bears (5-1) with two wins each.

Amin teamed with Parth Girme for an 8-1 win at third doubles before taking No. 1 singles, 8-2.

Lichtenwainer partnered with Matthew Maguire for an 8-1 win at first doubles before taking No. 4 singles, 8-2.

The Green Terror returns to action against Ramapo on Thursday. Match time is 2:30 p.m.
