McFall, McCarthy take doubles match

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore swept singles play in straight sets to cap an 8-1 Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis victory over McDaniel on Wednesday.

Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) and Satchel McCarthy led the Green Terror (5-6, 0-5 CC) with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.

Anthony Collard paced the Garnet (6-6, 3-0 CC) with a 2-0 day, teaming with Thomas Vernier for an 8-3 win at second doubles before notching a 6-1, 6-1 win at first singles. Vernier completed his 2-0 day with a 6-2, 6-0 win at sixth singles.

Dan Park and Ryan Salomon (Bethesda, Md./The Siena) had the best match in singles play. Park notched a 6-1 victory in the first set at No. 5 singles before escaping with the straight-set win, 6-4.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Muhlenberg on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
