Dietrich named Coach of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. – McDaniel head coach Bob Dietrich has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Coach of the Year for men's tennis, released on Friday.

The conference Coach of the Year is decided by a balloting of the 10 conference head coaches. It is the first honor for the second-year head coach.

Dietrich led the Green Terror to an overall record of 6-9 and 1-8 in CC competition. McDaniel defeated Muhlenberg 5-4 on Apr. 12 for its first win over the Mules since 1982, snapping a 59-match conference losing streak.

The Green Terror also won no fewer than two matches in its other eight conference matches.

Satchel McCarthy led McDaniel this season with 11 wins in singles play and nine in doubles play.
