Small McDaniel group competes at George Mason

Quintet records five conference qualifiers

FAIRFAX, Va. – C.J. Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) finished 11th in the 1,000 to lead McDaniel at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason in men's indoor track and field action on Saturday.

Naper finished in a time of 2:42.95 before turning in a time of 4:42.76 to finish 26th in the mile.

James Ways (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) crossed 11th in the 400 (53.42) and 12th in the 200 (23.78), turning in Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying marks in both events.

Trevor Crest (Baltimore, Md./Episcopal) finished 14th with a CC-qualifying time of 24.66 seconds in the 200, competing in his first action of the season. He was also 19th in the 60 with a time of 7.66.

Jake Nichols (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) rounded out the conference qualifiers with a time of 9.41 seconds in the 60 hurdles to finish 19th. He was also 16th in the 400 with a time of 56.92.

Louis Lachman (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) finished 13th in the 500 with a time of 1:14.54.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Susquehanna Open on Feb. 13.
