Naper, Zamostny compete at Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Jake Zamostny (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) finished fifth in the 800 to lead McDaniel at the Kehoe Twilight Meet hosted by the University of Maryland in men's outdoor track and field action on Thursday.

Zamostny joined C.J. Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) representing the Green Terror at the meet, which included mostly teams from the state of Maryland. The duo combined to score 10 points, placing eighth.

Zamostny finished fifth and crossed as the fourth collegiate runner in the Jim Kehoe two-lapper, posting a time of 1:58.32.

Naper crossed 10th but as the fourth collegiate runner and first non-Terp in the 1,500 with a time of 4:08.32.

McDaniel assistant coach and alum Kelly Gruber competed in the Rosalind Taylor 1,500 as an unattached competitor, finishing with a strong final lap to cross fourth with a time of 4:57.02.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Kutztown Invitational on Saturday.
