BALTIMORE, Md. – Chris Jones (Centreville, Va./Centreville) ran a time of 1:55.70 in the 800 to represent McDaniel at the Coppin State Invitational in men's outdoor track and field on Friday.

Jones' time was the best time in Green Terror program history, breaking a nearly 40-year-old mark. Paul Schiltz had the previous record, running a converted hand time of 1:55.84 in 1975.

Jones just missed the ECAC-qualifying standard in the event but will still join the 4x800-meter relay at the championship hosted by RPI on May 15-16.
