Kelvey places 15th overall to pace Green Terror in white race

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Rob Kelvey (Westminster, Md./Westminster) finished 15th overall in the 8,000-meter race to lead McDaniel to an 20th-place showing at the 2009 Paul Short Run in men's cross country action on Friday.

The Green Terror competed in the white race as part of a three-race format this year that placed teams in races based on expected times. The white race featured teams primarily from Division III with a handful of Division II squads in the mix. McDaniel accumulated 525 points, averaging 28:43 as a team. Mary Washington won the race with 116 points.

Kevley finished in a season-best time of 26:33.

CJ Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) finished 116th overall in the 245-person event, crossing in a time of 28:34 while Ron Shriver (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) crossed in a time of 29:46

Russell Morin (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) finished in a time of 30:24.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg Invitational on Oct. 17.
