THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel finished fifth in a field of 15 teams at the Lancaster Bible Charger Invitational behind Gavin Gibson's (Newark, Del./Sanford) third straight win to open the season.

THE LEADERS
Gavin Gibson won the race by 38 seconds, posting a time of 26:57.0 on the 8,000-meter course.
Shaun Thompson (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) placed 18th with a time of 30:36.1.
Cyrus Daroowalla (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was 30th overall with a time of 31:34.1.

FOR THE FOES
SUNY Poly won the team title with 56 points, edging Lancaster Bible by two points.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Michael Gallagher (Elko, Nev./Elko) cross 48th with a time of 33:24.8.
Caleb White (Glen Burnie, Md./Baltimore City College) was 69th with a time of 35:33.8.

THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 134 runners competed at the 8,000-meter distance.
Gavin Gibson posted the fastest Green Terror time on the course by 33 seconds.
