McDaniel sweeps Mary Baldwin

STAUNTON, Va. – Erinne Warrenfeltz (Smithsburg, Md./Middletown) recorded four hits and three runs scored and picked up the win in the circle for both games, leading McDaniel to a doubleheader sweep of Mary Baldwin in non-conference softball action on Sunday.

The Green Terror (3-2) took the opener 11-0 in six innings before completing the sweep with a 4-0 victory in game two.
Taylor Barela led the Squirrels (0-4) with three hits.
In game one, Warrenfeltz led off the second with a double before a walk and error allowed Warrenfeltz to come in for the 1-0 lead.
Lauren Wildasin (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin), who walked, scored on a wild pitch to stretch the lead to 2-0.
Six straight two-out hits, including a Wildasin two-RBI double, in the third made it a 6-0 game.
A Samantha Staub (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) home run in the fourth pushed the lead to 7-0 before five walks and an error keyed a four-run sixth to set the final margin.
A Kelli Workmeister (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) walk and Staub RBI double staked McDaniel to 1-0 lead in the top of the first in game two.
Kristina Skinner (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was hit by a pitch to lead off the second before stealing second, advancing to third on a wild pitch and scoring on a Brittany Jarboe (Baltimore, Md./Seton Keough) sacrifice fly to double the advantage in the second.
A Megan Elfert (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) single in the third plated Staub for a 3-0 lead before Lauren Toomey (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) set the final margin with a hit, stolen base and run scored in the fifth.
Warrenfeltz struck out 11 in her 12 innings of work. Staub finished with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Green Terror.
McDaniel returns to action, opening its trip to Kissimmee, Fla., against Illinois-Springfield and Loras on the first day of the Rebel Spring Games on Sunday. The first game begins at 9 a.m.
