Warrenfeltz named Co-Player; Meisters earns Pitcher of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. – McDaniel swept the Centennial Conference (CC) weekly softball awards after a 6-4 trip to the Rebel Spring Games on Mar. 15-20.
Erinne Warrenfeltz (Smithsburg, Md./Middletown) hit a team-best .538 over the final eight games of the Green Terror’s (7-7) trip to Florida to earn Co-Player of the Week honors. She rapped out 14 hits in 26 at bats, driving in 14 runs and scoring 11 times. Among her 14 hits were four doubles and three home runs for a 1.038 slugging percentage. She also walked five times for a .594 on-base percentage. In addition to her plate prowess, she went 2-0 with seven strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings in the circle. She allowed four earned runs for a 1.91 earned-run average.
Ashley Meister (Vienna, Va./James Madison) went 3-0 in three complete-game outings to earn Pitcher of the Week accolades. She pitched in five games, adding a save. She finished the week with a 1.50 ERA in 23 1/3 innings of work with six strikeouts.
McDaniel returns to action at Gallaudet on Thursday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
