    Two members of the McDaniel softball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Caroline Brehm was named the conference’s Pitcher of the Year and earned a first-team nod while Jackie Liebowitz was tabbed honorable mention.

    The Green Terror was limited to four hits on the day, including a two-run triple from senior Tracy Davis to score both runs in the bottom of the fifth. Stevenson scored five runs in the fifth for a 5-2 win over McDaniel in the first round of the 2013 ECAC South softball tournament.

    McDaniel will host a 2013 ECAC South Region softball championship tournament first-round game on Wednesday in Westminster, Md. The third-seeded Green Terror (23-17) will take on sixth-seeded Stevenson (22-21) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

    Tracy Davis led the Green Terror offensively with three hits, including a home run to account for all of her team's runs. Haverford and Muhlenberg eliminated McDaniel with wins of 3-2 and 4-0, respectively.

    In the Green Terror's final tuneup for the Centennial Conference tournament, Rachel Sidney recorded five hits over the two games to lead the offense. McDaniel took the opener 6-1 before completing the sweep of York (Pa.), 9-7.

    McDaniel will travel to Allentown, Pa., for the 2013 Centennial Conference softball championship tournament, to be held on Saturday and Sunday.

    Tracy Davis recorded two home runs among her three hits to lead the Green Terror, who also got a long ball from Jackie Liebowitz. McDaniel took the opener 7-2 before holding on a 4-3 win in the nightcap to sweep Washington.

    Caroline Brehm threw up 14 consecutive zeros after the three of the first four batters scored, fanning 19 along the way. Amy Baumgardner led the offense with four hits. McDaniel rallied to take game one 4-3 in eight innings before winning the nightcap, 3-0.

    Ally Galati led the Green Terror offensively with four hits. McDaniel plated three runs in the seventh inning of the nightcap to complete a doubleheader sweep of Gettysburg. The Green Terror took the opener, 2-0. McDaniel needed a pair of rallies to complete the sweep, 5-3..

    McDaniel has announced that it’s Centennial Conference softball doubleheader at Gettysburg has been postponed until Sunday at 1 p.m.

    Laura Mertz led the Green Terror with two hits in the nightcap. Messiah held McDaniel without a run to record a doubleheader sweep. The Falcons took the opener 13-0 in five innings before completing the sweep 9-0 in six innings.

    Tracy Davis led the Green Terror offense with four hits. McDaniel rapped out 18 hits as part of a doubleheader split with Ursinus. The Green Terror took game one 2-0 before the Bears plated a run in the top of the eighth to salvage a split, 4-3.

    Caroline Brehm threw all 17 innings with 22 combined strikeouts. McDaniel rallied late to break two deadlocks and record a doubleheader sweep of Haverford. The Green Terror took game one 4-2 before plating one in the top of the 10th inning of game two to complete the sweep, 2-1.

    Rachel Sidney led the Green Terror with four hits. Muhlenberg scored three times in the bottom of the 10th inning to complete the sweep of McDaniel with a 4-3 win after overcoming a 2-0 deficit with a five-run fifth inning for the 5-2 win in game one.

    Rachel Sidney led McDaniel with four hits over the twinbill. McDaniel exploded for 10 runs in the fourth and fifth innings of game two to salvage a doubleheader split at Swarthmore. After the Garnet took game one 7-0, the Green Terror responded with a 14-2, five-inning victory.

    Tracy Davis led the Green Terror with four hits in the twinbill. Franklin & Marshall took advantage of three hit batters in the sixth inning of game one to key a doubleheader sweep of McDaniel. The Diplomats overcame a 1-0 deficit in the opener to win 3-1 before taking game two, 7-2.
  • Mid-Atlantic snow forces schedule changes

    Just as McDaniel’s teams returned from spring break, the Mid-Atlantic region was hit by a spring snowstorm, forcing changes to the Green Terror athletics schedule.
  • Liebowitz records two hits in nightcap

    McDaniel rallied with three seventh-inning runs to register a sweep on the team’s final day of the 2013 Rebel Spring Games. The Green Terror opened the day with a 7-1 victory over Anderson (Ind.) before rallying to down Utica 5-4 in the finale.

    A pair of last at-bat victories gave McDaniel a doubleheader split. For the second time this week, the Green Terror needed eight innings to defeat Otterbein, doing it 3-2 this time. In game two, Augsburg forged a split over the two days with two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 3-2 win.

    Stacey Armacost recorded three hits in the nightcap to lead the offense. McDaniel plated eight runs over its final two at bats to force a doubleheader split. The Green Terror dropped a 2-0 decision to Rowan in the first game of the day but rallied to top Augsburg 8-1 in the nightcap.

    McDaniel rapped out 22 hits in a doubleheader split at the 2013 Rebel Spring Games. The Green Terror opened the day with a 6-4 win over Springfield before falling to Anderson (Ind.) 8-2 in the second game of the day. Rachel Sidney recorded five hits to lead the offense.

    McDaniel scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to cap a 2-0 start to the team's trip to the 2013 Rebel Spring Games. The Green Terror opened its 10-game trip with a 5-0 win over Endicott before topping Otterbein, 1-0.

    McDaniel notched a 10-0 game-one victory before closing out a doubleheader sweep with a 5-4 nightcap win over Penn State-Harrisburg.
  • Weather forces schedule changes

    McDaniel has announced changes to its Tuesday home schedule due to the heavy rain in the area. The baseball and softball home games have been postponed.
