Moreland earns second-team All-CC honor
LANCASTER, Pa. – Ali Moreland (Davidsonville, Md./South River), a junior on the McDaniel women’s basketball team, has been named to the 2009 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Tuesday.
The guard earned a spot on the second team, marking the first time
in her career she was tabbed to the all-conference
team.
Moreland leads the team in scoring (13.6 ppg), assists (78) and
steals (72). She also ranked third on the team in rebounding with
4.8 caroms per game.
Moreland also shot 41.3 percent from the floor and 68.8 percent
from the free-throw line for the regular season. She hit 11 triples
and blocked five shots.
The Green Terror (14-11, 11-7 CC) qualified for the conference
tournament for the eighth straight season and will host Dickinson
in the first-round game on Wednesday. Game time is 7
p.m.
