WESTMINSTER, Md. – Alexandra Chili became Muhlenberg's all-time leading scorer with 28 points, leading her squad to a 77-64 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball action on Saturday.

Freshman Emma Wingerd (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) paced the Green Terror (7-5, 4-4 CC) with her first collegiate double-double, tallying a career-best 16 points to go with 10 rebounds. Steph Perez (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) made it 12 straight games in double figures, matching Wingerd with 16 points. Nikki Ostrow (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) equaled Wingerd with 10 boards – part of a 53-47 advantage on the glass for the hosts.

Kate Clawson also reached 20 points for the 10th-ranked Mules (11-0, 6-0 CC) with 21 points while Leann Lanza and Alita Zabrecky chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively. Lanza added a game-high 13 rebounds for a double-double.

Trailing 42-30 at the break, McDaniel scored the first 14 points of the second half to take its first lead since 2-0 with two Wingerd free throws at the 14:24 mark. Wingerd scored six points during the stretch.

Erin Laney scored on back-to-back Muhlenberg possessions to put the visitors back in front by two before Rachael Rybak (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) tied the game for the fourth and final time with 13:14 on the clock.

Chili added a layup on the ensuing Mule possession gave her team the lead for good with 13:06 to play.

Zabrecky and Nikki Piper (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) exchanged jumpers before Chili became the Mules' all-time leading scorer with a 3-pointer – her 21st, 22nd and 23rd of the game and 1,689th, 1,690th and 1,691st of her career.

Chili added another triple to stretch the advantage to 56-48 with 10:51 to play.

Two Allie Eader (Ijamsville, Md./Linganore) free throws with 6:28 on the clock made it a three-point game for the third time in a 1-minute, 16-second span but Clawson responded with a jumper to spark a game-clinching 12-0 run.

Two Meg Biggart (Darien, Conn./Darien) free throws snapped a stretch of 5 minutes, 26 seconds without a point for McDaniel.

Wingerd gave the Green Terror an early 2-0 lead before Chili hit a jumper to spark an 8-0 run over the game's next minute.

A Clawson 3-pointer swelled the lead to 15-4 with 15:01 to play in the first half.

Back-to-back layups from Katherine Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) trimmed the deficit to seven but Chili canned another triple to push the lead back to double digits.

Perez hit a layup on the break before Chili converted a fast-break layup of her own to put the lead in double digits for the remainder of the first half.

Eader finished with six points, nine rebounds and four assists. Ostrow added seven points to her 10 boards.
