WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gettysburg jumped out to a 11-0 lead while holding McDaniel to an 0-for-10 start en route to a 64-35 Centennial Conference (CC) victory on Tuesday.

Brittney Davis (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) led the Green Terror (6-8, 3-7 CC) with six points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Steph Perez (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) led the way in the scoring column with seven points while Alyssa March (Fallston, Md./Fallston) added six points and five rebounds.

Caroline Murphy paced the Bullets (10-5, 7-3 CC) with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Jessica Porter added 14 points.

A Porter layup and back-to-back scores from Murphy staked Gettysburg to a 6-0 lead in the game's first 2:38.

Alyssa Isler hit a layup on the break before Porter hit one free throw and Murphy converted a pair from the charity stripe at the 14:30 mark.

Davis hit McDaniel's 11th shot of the game – a bank 3-pointer from the right wing – to get her team on the board.

Seven points from Porter helped stretch the lead to 24-4 with 7:38 to play in the opening half.

A Codi McMaster (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) free throw and two from Davis cut the deficit to 24-7 before Perez canned a 3-pointer to make it a 14-point game with 6:01 showing.

Four points from March and a Rachael Rybak (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) jumper helped close the deficit to 11 before Jenna Swope nailed a triple in the left corner to stretch the advantage to 30-16 at the break.

The Green Terror once again went ice cold to start the second half, missing its first 11 shots while the Bullets went on a 17-0 run over the first 7 minutes, 40 seconds of the period, building a 31-pointe lead.

Lauren Ballenger (Silver Spring, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) provided immediate offense off the bench converting a short jumper off an Allie Eader (Ijamsville, Md./Linganore) long outlet pass with 12:15 to play.

Gettysburg extended the lead to as many as 35 en route to the 29-point win.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Washington (Md.) on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
