LANCASTER, Pa. – McDaniel scored seven straight points to overcome a 55-53 deficit with 2:05 to play, rallying for a 60-57 Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball victory over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.
Emma Wingerd (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) netted a career-high 18 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 showing from the free-throw line to lead the Green Terror (7-9, 4-8 CC), adding 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. Steph Perez (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) added 16 points, including four of her five 3-point attempts.

Behind six points from Barbush, the Diplomats raced out to an 8-0 lead before Perez canned a triple with 16:33 to play in the first half to get McDaniel on the scoreboard.
Two McCarthy layups and one from Snyder stretched the lead to 16-7 with 10:21 on the clock before Perez responded with a 3-pointer.
A foul after the shot gave the Green Terror possession and Lindsey Nichols (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) drained a trey of her own for a six-point possession.
After a Snyder layup momentarily pushed the lead back out to five, Davis made it 18-16 with another 3-pointer with 8:45 showing.
Davis hit yet another 3-pointer 3 minutes, 39 seconds later to make it a 20-19 game.
The Diplomats pushed the lead back out to six on two McCarthy free throws with 36 seconds left but the third of Davis' three 3-pointers and two Perez free throws after a steal closed the deficit to 27-26 at the break.
Franklin & Marshall tallied 11 of the first 15 points in the second half to stretch the lead to 38-30 with 14:19 to play.
Back-to-back Perez triples trimmed the deficit to two before McCarthy and Barbush each converted to make it a 42-36 lead.
