WESTMINSTER, Md. – Muhlenberg took a 15-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, defeating McDaniel 78-50 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball action on Saturday.

Alyssa March (Fallston, Md./Fallston) closed her collegiate career with a double-double for the Green Terror (11-14, 9-11 CC), recording 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Rachel Plotke led the Mules (18-7, 15-5 CC) with 14 points and five assists.

Trailing 7-6, Carley Hamilton hit a jumper to spark a 9-2 close to the quarter.

Brandi Vallely capped the period with a steal and layup with 1:20 on the clock.

A Plotke 3-pointer – one of her four triples – stretched the lead to 22-11 with 7:34 showing in the second quarter.

The lead remained at 11 before a Plotke trey and two from Vallely in the final 5:05 of the quarter helped stretch the lead to 37-15 at the break, closing the quarter on a 13-0 run.

The third-quarter lead swelled as large as 31 on an Emilie Benton 3-pointer with 1:04 remaining.

Karli Zeps (Reisterstown, Md./Seton Keough) added eight points for the Green Terror.
