Koopman cards 78

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Morgan Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) carded a season low-tying round of 78 to lead McDaniel to a fourth-place finish at the U.S. Naval Academy's Lady Midshipman Spring Invitational at the Academy's Golf Course in women's golf action on Saturday.

Behind Koopman's second individual title of the spring, the Green Terror combined to fire a round of 363. Division II Kutztown won the tournament with a score of 343 while Division I West Chester was second with a 352. Gettysburg placed third with a round of 353.

Alise McNutt (Flourtown, Pa./Mount St. Jospeh) and Liz Moir (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) finished tied for 13th overall with matching rounds of 92.

Katie Pass (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) placed 26th overall with a round of 101 while Katherine Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) was 28th with a 102.

McDaniel returns to action at the Centennial Conference Championship hosted by Gettysburg at Hanover County Club on Saturday, Apr. 28 and Sunday, Apr. 29.
