Koopman posts 164

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Morgan Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) fired a second-round score of 80 to finish with a 164 for 36 holes and lead McDaniel to a second-place finish at its own spring invitational in women's golf action on Saturday and Sunday.

As a team, the Green Terror combined to post a score of 716, following up a first-round score of 363 with a round of 353 on Sunday at The Bridges Golf Club.

New York University won the team title with a score of 642 (315-327) behind individual medallist Elaine Tse, who fired a tournament-record round of 71 on Saturday and finished with a 36-hole record score of 147.

Koopman finished third in the tournament after registering a score of 84 on Saturday and team-low round of 80 on Saturday.

Alise McNutt (Flourtown, Pa./Mount St. Joseph) carded a 36-hole score of 171 to finish seventh, improving from a round of 88 on Saturday to a round of 83 in the second round.

Katie Pass (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished 16th overall, carding matching rounds of 85 to finish with a score of 190.

Liz Moir (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) finished 18th overall with a score of 193 (98-95) while Bridget McLaughlin (Langhorne, Pa./Wyoming Seminary Upper) was 22nd with a score of 203 (96-107).

The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational on the site of the Centennial Conference championship, Hanover Country Club, on Saturday and Sunday.
