Schlesinger cards 171 to place fifth at CC championship

LANCASTER, Pa. – Meg Schlesinger (Frederick, Md./Urbana) posted a two-day score of 171 to finish fifth and lead McDaniel at the Centennial Conference (CC) women's golf championship on Saturday and Sunday.

The Green Terror finished with a 36-hole score of 871, posting a score of 429 on Saturday and 442 on Sunday, to place sixth. Gettysburg won its eighth straight title with a score of 714 (352-362).

Schlesinger carded a round of 82 on Sunday, which tied for the lowest round of the second round, after posting a score of 89 on Saturday to finish fifth overall and earn all-conference honors.

Kelsey Kirkman (Chesapeake, Va./Norfolk Academy) was 19th overall with a score of 198, following up a first-round score of 97 with a round of 101 on Sunday.

Sara McClintock (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) placed 29th with a score of 234 (119-115) while while Allison Isidore (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) was 34th with a score of 268 (124-144).
