BALTIMORE, Md. – Michelle Fluty (Huntingtown, Md./Calvert), a senior on the McDaniel College women’s lacrosse team, has been selected as a member of the South Team and will participate in the 2009 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) North/South Senior All-Star Game.
Fluty named to South Senior All-Star Team
The annual contest will take place at the United States Training Center in Downingtown, Pa., on June 13. The 20-player Division III South team, coached by Franklin & Marshall head coach Lauren Paul, will take on the North team as part of a tripleheader. The Division III games caps the schedule at 2 p.m. Fluty, a defender, was a key member of the Green Terror defense, causing 13 turnovers and picking up 27 ground balls. She also contributed one goal to the offense in a 15-1 win over Bryn Mawr.
Fluty is one of six Centennial Conference seniors to earn the honor of playing in the event.
