Baer, Hollinger, Nichols earn first-team all-region accolades
BALTIMORE, Md. – Three members of the McDaniel women's lacrosse team have been named to the All-Metro Region team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), released on Thursday.
Baer, a senior attacker, earned her second straight all-region nod and after a second consecutive first-team All-Centennial Conference (CC) selection. She led the Green Terror (10-6, 4-5 CC) with a CC-high 55 goals and 64 points. She added a program-record 64 draw controls to go with 29 ground balls and a team-best 28 caused turnovers.
Hollinger, a senior goalkeeper, earned her first all-region nod. She finished the season with a 9.77 goals-against average and .476 save percentage. She recorded 131 saves in the team's 16 games.
Nichols, a sophomore defender, made her all-region appearance after being named first-team All-CC. She led the defense with 33 ground balls. She ranked tied for second on the team with 19 caused turnovers and was third on the squad with 25 draw controls while adding a goal and an assist to the attack.
